Yetim Foundation has set out with the slogan “Smiles Through Sacrifices” to celebrate Eid Al Adha in 28 countries through the distribution of over 10,000 Qurbani shares to orphans and widows. The Foundation this year not only aims to distribute Qurbani meat but also put smiles on orphans faces with the distribution of Eid clothes.

The foundation aims to reach children who live in areas affected by poverty, war or natural disasters. Starting with Türkiye, this includes parts of Africa, the middle east, Asia and the far east. Considering that one in every child lives in areas of war or natural disaster, this Eid Al Adha aid is a must. In this project our priority are orphans, single-parented children, widows along with children deprived of their basic needs, who live in orphanages or children’s homes.  This Eid Al Adha, we will support children who have no access to their basic needs, especially in Africa and the Middle east.

This year Gaza holds ab important place in our Appeal. Gaza is a priority for the foundation as it is where 18 thousand children have been killed, 40 thousand children have been orphaned, and more than 2 million people live in poor conditions due to Israel’s genocide, blockade and bombardment. Up until now, Yetim Foundation has provided emergency aid to more than 946 thousand people in the area. The foundation already supports 9 thousand orphans in Gaza regularly with the Orphan Sponsorship program along with other appeals such as Ramadan, winter project, etc.  The president of Yetim Foundation, Murat Yılmaz has stated the following: “It could be said that in Gaza there isn’t any child that doesn’t need psychological support. With your donations this Eid, you can make a difference and become a source of hope for them.” Like the previous year, Yetim Foundation aims to distribute the Qurbani by sacrificing outside of Gaza and delivering the meat into the region in 3 months in the form for canned goods with a two-year shelf life, ensuring long-term nourishment for those in need.

Yetim Foundations prices for Qurban, have been determined as the following:

Türkiye: 16,000 TL

Palestine (Gaza): 10,000 TL

Other countries: 4,900 TL

With this, we also aim to lift children’s spirits with Eid clothes. The price for Eid clothes has been listed as 1,500 TL. The president Murat Yılmaz called out to people with the following: “We ask you for your second Qurbani. It’s important that families first sacrifice among themselves and celebrate. Whoever has the means should bring joy to orphans by donating to them too. You can also join in on the goodness by making this Eid special for an orphan.”
