Colorful Butterflies Have Alighted Upon Our Art Workshop
Colorful Butterflies Have Alighted Upon Our Art Workshop
In our Art Workshop, our orphaned children have transformed the butterflies of their dreams into reality. Afterward, we flew our butterflies together, placing them upon the walls of the center.
Long-Term Goals of the Project
- To promote the establishment and expansion of institutions and centers serving children and mothers who have lost their parents.
- To enhance the quality of psychosocial work for children and mothers who have lost their parents through academic publications.
- To foster social responsibility awareness among the students volunteering in the project.
Our Orphan Children Created Their Own Portraits with Art and Collage Materials
In our Art Workshop, we created our own portraits using various art and collage materials.
We first placed paper on our faces and traced the contours of our faces. Then, we transformed our portraits with art and collage materials, adapting them to reflect our character.
The goal of this workshop was to recognize the aspects of ourselves we can change and those we cannot, while also focusing on developing areas where we can improve. Additionally, the workshop aimed to contribute to the cognitive, emotional, and motor development of our children.

How You Can Support Us
We Learned the Importance of Cleanliness through Games
Today, in the Drama Workshop at our Aksaray Psychosocial Support and Implementation Center, our topic was cleanliness. Through running games, we learned how quickly germs can spread and how fast soap can clean. We also visited a pretend cleaning supply store, where we got familiar with various cleaning materials.
Our Theraplay Group Play Therapy Continues
At the Aksaray Psychosocial Support and Research Center, we began implementing Theraplay group play therapy, which uses joyful games and sensitive care to improve children’s behavior, self-image, and interpersonal relationships.
You can also contribute to the education of our children.
Our Children Meet Each Other While Having Fun
We make introductions fun through games. At our Aksaray Psychosocial Support Center, we apply drama activities with newly arrived groups to help them develop social skills and cooperation abilities.
We Learn Through Games with Our Orphaned Children
At our Aksaray Psychosocial Support and Implementation Center, we continue our educational activities with orphaned children.
On sunny days, we use our garden as an environment for fun, development, and learning for our children.
Our Work Continues at the Psychosocial Support Center
At the Aksaray Psychosocial Support Center, as part of our workshop, we held a collective music and choir session with our group.
Each of us united in a single voice and frequency, creating harmony. Together, we became one. By working with musical instruments, we enhanced our sense of rhythm.
With this workshop, we aim to increase our children's self-confidence and help them express themselves better. We observed that children, who are usually more reserved in their daily lives, enjoyed singing and were more effective in group work, with improved dialogue skills.
We started the session by warming up to find the correct pitch. After relaxing our diaphragms and vocal cords with body movements, we worked on hitting the right notes. The workshop concluded with a rhythm exercise and singing songs in segments.
Individual and Group Therapy Sessions for Children and Mothers Who Have Lost Their Parents
At our Psychosocial Support and Implementation Center, we conduct individual and group therapy sessions for children and mothers who have lost their parents.
You can support orphaned families by covering the cost of a single session or a 12-week therapy process.
