About Us
Children are the apple of our eyes. We wish for them to grow up surrounded by love, compassion, attention, and affection. We want them to lack nothing, to always smile, and to be a ray of sunshine. Every child has the right to receive education appropriate to their age, benefit from health and social services, acquire their identity and citizenship rights, live with their parents and loved ones, be safe from any danger, play and run with their peers, feel confident, and make use of all the material and spiritual resources of their family. These are their most natural rights.
Unfortunately, many children around the world are deprived of these fundamental rights and the beautiful life we wish for them. Currently, there are about one billion orphans, abandoned, or socially neglected children worldwide, which accounts for approximately 40% of the global child population.
The Orphan Foundation is a specialized institution established on June 10, 2017, on the occasion of World Orphans Day, with the purpose of reversing the current situation. The Foundation’s definition of "orphan" extends to include children who are orphaned, abandoned, lost, socially neglected, as well as orphaned mothers. In the services it provides, the Foundation does not impose any age restrictions and ensures that it supports orphans from early childhood until they are able to stand on their own and navigate life independently.
Our Foundation follows a comprehensive "Holistic Development Model" that takes into account the specific characteristics and needs of each age group. As such, it implements educational, psychosocial support, and awareness programs that address not only the orphans themselves, but also their families, communities, and the society at large. In carrying out these projects, we work in close collaboration with our valued volunteers and, subsequently, with national and international institutions and organizations.
Orphans, as mentioned in the Quranic verses and Hadiths, and entrusted to humanity, serve as a test for all of us. Taking responsibility for their care and well-being is a long and challenging journey toward fulfilling our true purpose. Our Foundation has wholeheartedly committed itself to this arduous path, which may be difficult, but whose end is one of mercy. The ultimate goal of this journey is the hope and aspiration to meet the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to be in his blessed presence.
