End of School Year Activites at the Reyhanlı Education Village
With the end of the school year children performed various activities at the Reyhanlı Education Village.

503003076354.jpgAt the Reyhanlı Education Centre which was opened in the Reyhan district of Hatay for children affected by war, children celebrated the end of the school year with activities. The education village was opened by Humanitarian Organization (İHH) and Katar Aid (RAF) in 2017. The activities started with a presentation recap of the year, showing all previous activities and programs.

The center provides children who survived war shelter, education, healthcare, rehabilitation, food, clothes. Responsible for the education and administration of the Centre, Yetim Foundation president Mehmet Gülsatar reminded us in his speech that 8 years have passed since the start of the Syrian war. Gülsatar mentioned that children and women were the most effected and that their work focused on them. He also added that in the following school year, in addition to this school an imam hatip school and a kindergarten are to be opened.

Gülsatar, mentioned that the teachers work hard throughout the school year and thanked everyone who had helped in activities. He also mentioned that The Sub-governor of Reyhanlı, Fatih Çobanoğlu did wonderful things for the Syrian children in the school. Gifts were given to students who entered art, writing, hat art, textile competitions and got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The program was attended by Anadolu Ajansı vice manager, Executive Editor metin Mutanoğlu and scriptwriter Abdulhamit Güle, the families of the children and donors.
