PEACE STATİON

The Esenlik Durakları Project (Peace Station) seeks to assist orphaned children and their mothers in navigating the profound emotional repercussions of their loss, aiming to alleviate the psychological burdens borne by these individuals. Through rigorous and objective methodologies, the project identifies the specific needs of its target demographic—comprising orphaned children and socially orphaned mothers—and designs tailored interventions to address these needs effectively. Following the implementation phase, a comprehensive evaluation is undertaken to assess the impact and efficacy of the programs. The results of these evaluations serve not only to gauge the programs' success but also to inform necessary adjustments, ensuring that the interventions remain aligned with their intended goals and are continuously optimized in response to emerging insights.

The Esenlik Durakları Project is dedicated to mitigating risk factors in the lives of its target group while simultaneously strengthening protective factors through the development of comprehensive "intervention" programs. The project seeks to promote the mental, emotional, and social development of children through a series of carefully designed activities. Furthermore, it focuses on enhancing the academic achievements of the children, employing the principles of multiple intelligences theory to foster their growth in a variety of domains. This is achieved through the organization of art and skill workshops aimed at broadening their developmental horizons.

In addition to the interventions for children, the project also provides psychological support programs and educational workshops for the mothers, with a dual objective: to empower women psychologically and to refine their parenting skills. These programs aim to reduce the use of negative disciplinary practices and encourage more positive, nurturing approaches to child-rearing.

  • Informing the target group about their fundamental rights (such as school enrollment, institutions providing financial support, etc.),
  • Creating a database to facilitate the publication of academic research related to children who have experienced parental loss.

Long-Term Objectives of the Project
