As Yetim Foundation, we signed a protocol with the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education regarding our orphan children from ages 6 to 18. The protocol is regarding social adaptation and education of values, and it consists of activities and workshops.
The Goal and Scope of the Protocol
The protocol signed by our president Murat Yılmaz and the president of Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, Dr, Mücahit Yentür aims to help support orphans in official schools with their disadvantaged condition.
The protocol also consists of face to face and online workshops to be planned by our foundation with the approval of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education. Moreover, as Yetim Foundation we will appoint expert teachers with the approval of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education.
How the Protocol Will Be Applied
According to the fundamental principles of the protocol, the activities will be carried out in compliance with the legislation and scientific framework. The social cohesion support and workshop processes will be conducted in collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of National Education. Additionally, educational programs will be provided to children participating in the workshops and their families on a voluntary basis, with parental consent obtained.
Throughout the Social Cohesion Support process, periodic reports on the student's status will be submitted to the school's guidance counselor, Guidance and Research Centers, and the Provincial Directorate of National Education. The secretariat of this protocol and other directives will be managed by the Special Education and Guidance Department of the Provincial/District Directorate of National Education.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education, Assoc. Prof. Mücahit Yentür, emphasized the importance of education and collaboration with non-governmental organizations:

With the protocol we are implementing today in partnership with Yetim Foundation, we aim to establish a higher standard in education, support disadvantaged youth, and help them grow into successful individuals of the future."
