According to UN data, there are 150 million orphans in the world, while NGO estimates suggest that the number is closer to 400 million. Half of these children are living on the streets because they do not have a family to protect them, or they cannot find an institution to provide shelter. As a result, they are extremely vulnerable to illegal organizations, missionary activities, forced adoption, organ mafia and prostitution cartels, beggar mafia networks, substance abuse, child labor, and militarization of children.
In addition to their vulnerability, these children are often traumatized due to reasons such as war, disasters, and catastrophies that leaving them as orphans. They are in dire need of love, compassion, and psychosocial support.
As the Orphan Foundation, we strive to care for orphaned children living in our country and in many regions of the world by providing them with proper education, healthcare, food, clothing, and shelter.
