OPPRESSION IN PALESTINE CONTINUES

Palestine has been subject to Jewish settlements, Israeli occupation and vandalism for years. And now, since October 7th, Palestine has been going through the most severe genocide and apartheid that history has ever seen. It is known that more than 70,000 buildings were bombed, and 2 million people were displaced in Gaza, where nearly 50,000 people, half of them children, were martyred and nearly 100,000 people were injured.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Genocide Convention, Crimes against Humanity ascribed in the Rome Convention, the Geneva Conventions, the Convention on the Rights of the Child have become just worthless texts on papers.

While Gaza is being destroyed to the ground, almost half of the people killed are children! It could be said that today in Gaza, there is no child that does not need psychological help. We can even say the same for adults. The rights granted to children by the Convention on the Rights of the Child are being crushed under the invader's combat boots. Even the embryos that aren't born yet are subjected to genocide.

Can we create a safe space in which Gazan children who have been under Israeli blockade from the air, land and sea for 17 years, can actually breathe in? That's the question the world of 8 billion needs to answer!

WE STAND WITH GAZA

As Orphan Foundation, our work based on emergency humanitarian aid and advocacy in the region continues. As a foundation since 2021, we support our 1985 orphans regularly with our sponsor support system based in Gaza. We also support more than 300 of our orphans in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

With our Ramadan, sacrifice, education period and winter aids, we carry out projects in region all year. After October 7th, we had the opportunity to contact 515.910 thousand brothers and sisters. In our aid, we tried to give priority to orphans and families with disadvantaged children. Our works with a financial value of $2,034,085.14 (as of October) include cash distribution, provisions, various foodstuffs, milk powder, hot food and sacrificial meat (Eid Al- Adha), hygiene kits, diapers, blankets distributions, drinking water distribution to settlements, and fuel support for hospitals.
