This Ramadan of 2025 Yetim Foundation reached 419.010 orphans, single parented children, social orphans and people in need with the aid campaign holding the slogan: “Touch Your Heart This Ramadan”. Moreover, countries with conflict such as Palestine and Syria were given priority and focus.

Yetim Foundation President Murat Yılmaz stated: “This Ramadan we are happy to reach people in need with the help of our donors. Our aim is to support all orphans and needy children no matter wherever they are in the world.

Our Aid in Areas of Humanitarian Crisis

In this Ramadan Campaign, intense aid was directed to Palestine. In Palestine iftar was given to 130,000 people, food boxes to 2,000 people and Eid clothes to 1,000 children. In total 151,740 Palestinians were aided. Also, Zakah was given to 600 Palestinian families.

Humanitarian Aid for Palestinian Camps in Lebanon continued. 400 children’s packets, Eid clothes, iftars and food boxes were aided. In addition, 200 families were given Zakah.

In Syria, big scale aid operation was carried out. Nearly 109 thousand people were reached and iftar was given to 49,284 people while Eid clothes to 6,688 children. Also 4,485 children packets were given and food boxes were aided to 2,696 families. The highlight of the aid in Syria was the house furniture aid, this was given to 3.562 people.

International Aid and Events for Ramadan

During Ramadan, iftars were given to 188,984 people in 29 different countries. The most iftars were given in Palestine, then Syria, Burkina Faso, Bangladesh and Lebanon. 500 iftars were given in India and 200 in Mauritania.

Extensive aid was also carried out within Türkiye. 68,532 people were aided, this includes the distribution of 8.601 children’s packets, 5.956 Eid clothes and 7,055 food boxes. In addition, Iftar was given to 1,620 people while 1,371 fitrah distributions were carried out.

Africa wasn’t left out. Yetim Foundation aided 11,729 people in Mauritania. 6,736 people in Burkina Faso, 3,761 people in Tunisia, 3,182 people in Mali and 2,430 people in Sudan. In addition, 140 Sacrifices were made (Qurban) in Mauritania.

Special Aid for Children and the Sponsorship System

Before Eid, Eid clothes were given to 21,744 children. In Syria 6,688 children, in Türkiye 5,956 children and in Palestine 1,000 children received their Eid clothes. Moreover, during the Month of Ramadan 18,836 children packets were distributed. These packets contained supplies for not only their educational needs but also for entertainment and fun.

What’s Next?

Murat Yılmaz stated the following, “Ramadan in a month in which sharing and support is at its peak. We are happy to share the blessings of Ramadan with people in need all around the world.”

Yılmaz continued his speech with the following, “The biggest motivation for us is the smile on the faces of children and families in war and conflict zones. We support orphans not only financially but also spiritually and psychologically. We continue to provide social services and psychosocial support to thousands of children and families through our centers in Istanbul, Ankara, Kilis, Hatay and Syria.”

Yetim Foundation officials also stated that they are working hard to continue the aid outside of Ramadan and aim to increase the number of aid this year.
