Urgent aid for Sudan

The humanitarian crisis in Sudan

The civil war that began on April 15, 2023 between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces has continued with much suffering for more than a year. According to UN reports, the number of internally displaced people in the country has reached 7.3 million, while this number with external migration has reached 11 million. It is noteworthy that the number of civilians who lost their lives due to the conflicts is not less than 15,000, and the number of injured is more than 30,000. However, the real numbers are much higher than these numbers. The number of people in need of assistance in the country has exceeded 25 million, including 14 million children. Nearly 18 million people in the country face severe food insecurity. Insecurity, looting, bureaucratic obstacles, fuel shortages, and network problems continue to make it difficult for humanitarian aid to reach the regions.

While the number of children under the age of 15 in the country is 18.5 million, more than 19 million children are unable to continue their education. It is feared that if the war continues like this, no child will be able to go to school in the coming months.

According to statistics, there are 3.5 million orphans in Sudan. There is concern that the number of orphans in the country will increase as basic humanitarian needs cannot be met and health facilities go bankrupt.

In the countries where we have worked, we as the Orphanage Foundation have sponsored 106 orphans in 2024, and another 3,242 individuals with food, Iftar, Zakat and holiday support during the month of Ramadan; in addition to 27,541 people with 490 shares of sacrifice and Eid expenses for 150 orphan children during Eid al-Adha; and in July, we reached a total of 32,507 people, of whom 1,618 people distributed food rations, hot meals and charity.

Now we have moved again for our orphan families and our needy brothers who are under fire under the wings of the deadly crisis. Your support is undoubtedly very valuable to these Muslims. We are happy with your feelings that you may contribute with us.
