We once again spent the 15th of Ramadan with joy, a day that is World Orphans Day and also Yetim Foundation’s founding anniversary.
Yetim Foundations president, Murat Yılmaz, spoke on the 15th of Ramadan World Orphan’s Day. He stated that there are 1 billion orphans, single parented children and social orphans in this world and the latest attacks on Gaza have left 40 thousand children orphaned.
Gazans break their fast side by side between destruction and rubble.
While serving food to 4.600 people in need in Gaza, Yetim Foundation aided more than 430 thousand people last year with Palestine Emergency Aid Campaign and extensive humanitarian work.
We partnered with Istanbul Özel Mahir Okulları to help East Turkistan families.
“How should one approach children who have lost a parent? How should we explain the reality of death to children? How do we approach grieving children?” and more will be answered in this month’s blog.
This Ramadan starting with Türkiye, by operating in 28 different countries we aim to reach thousands of people.
At the Children’s Festival, we met with orphans and their families from different places in Istanbul.
